Hello, and welcome once again. As they say, it's easy to be holy while sitting on top of a mountain all alone. However, simply because we are where we are, it's clear that we came to do our work right here at ground level.

 
We answered our calling to be who we are in the place that we are. Though it may be unclear with our limited perspectives, we have all we need to bring more spirituality to the world. Even the most simple efforts are righteous, because it's our honesty and authenticity which matters. The results will depend upon the receptivity of others, as long as we are clear.

May we sit this evening knowing we can bring spiritual beauty to the world – by just being ourselves.

Hello, gorgeous people. Politically there is only one problem – the unity of human kind. As we have seen, this cannot be achieved through politicians who thrive on division. So it's up to us, honestly. We have to be the ones who demonstrate the unity of humanity, and do it in our daily life.

This can be a challenge for some people, and with some people. But, the effort is always righteous and worthwhile.

This evening may we set our sights above ourselves as our hearts reach above our heads once more. It may seem out of reach. It may seem out of sight. It may seem unattainable. May we be lovingly surprised by what we can do.

And another sunny hello to all. We come to this world with two goals. One is to resolve past issues which were developed in former lifetimes, and carried along since. The other is to bring something from God for the betterment of humanity.

 
Awareness of what is to be resolved and what is to be enhanced is essential, because it can lead to a state of Grace.

Our gift to ourselves this evening is to sit in reflection. To see ourselves, and how we are living our lives, more clearly. May we see that which needs resolution and release. May we also see the gifts we were meant to bring forth for the upliftment of all.

Hello again, gracious people. We sit once more for the continued spiritual transformation of the Earth and humanity. I'm told we are far behind the rest of the universe in our spiritual awareness, which can easily be seen by just looking around at how we treat Mother Earth and each other. 

So let's aspire this evening to treating ourselves, the Big Blue Marble, and all other humans with the grace and beauty which Divine Source imbues us with.

Hello again to the beautiful souls of this group. J. Krishnamurti tells us the word 'seeking' implies that we have lost something and are working to find it. Being that when we do find that something we'll be able to recognize it means – we've already known it.

So we're not so much seeking as recovering what has already been known to us.

Can we sit this evening and see into our spiritual beginnings? Can we uncover any degree of that which has been lost? May we sit this Sunday evening toward that beautiful effort.

Hello again to this gracious group. We come into this world with gifts from spirituality to give to humanity; music, art, dance, literature, humor, love of friends and family. All of these are of benefit to God through the upliftment of us. 

We also bring personal issues to be worked through; anger, fear, mental illness, and all the typical 'deadly sins'. These are the difficult karma that we either resolve or burn off through experience in this life. This is also of benefit to God by means of our cleansing.

It may seem odd, but tonight may we celebrate these manyfold opportunities to cleanse and enhance ourselves, to uplift humanity, while paradoxically improving that which is already perfect.

Hello wonderful people. Life is a physical manifestation of Divinity, of the Source. With our free will we are allowed to direct our lives up or down any path we desire. Speaking in rough generalities, our choices are between karma and grace.

The path of karma, driven by selfish desires, is cyclical. The path of grace, the desire to be outwardly loving, leads us on to our higher callings.

May we sit this evening for the ability to discern our individual paths, for the courage to choose wisely, and for the ability to release that which no longer serves us.

Hello, and a gracious good day to all. When asked to give an example of unconditional love many people reply, “A mother for her child.” But that is a very conditional love, having grown the child within her body. Unconditional love is not dependent upon anything; not who you are; not what you've done, positive or otherwise; not where you came from or are going to; not dependent upon anything whatsoever. You are simply loved throughout your existence.

If we could tap into a tiny piece of that powerful, all-encompassing love it would change the world. In fact, to sit in openness may be the bravest thing we can do in a world of turmoil.

May we sit this evening being open to that love. May it flood our hearts. May our awareness of its power lead us onward.

Hello to all, and here's a story. One day an enormous elephant was walking through a clearing. It came upon a tiny little bird laying on its back. The bird's wings were spread out wide, with its feet gripping the ground fiercely. The little bird's breath came in gigantic heaves, gigantic for such a small creature that is, as it struggled mightily with its task.
“What are you doing?” Asked the elephant.
Between grasping breaths the little bird croaked out, “I'm holding back the darkness.”
The enormous elephant stared at the little bird for a moment, “You? You weigh what, two maybe three ounces at most?”
The little bird looked the enormous elephant straight in the eye and spoke clearly, “One does what one can.”

That's where we are folks. In this world of turmoil we do what we can. Let's give it another go tonight, shall we?

Because I'll be away from my computer for a few days I'll send this out tonight. (rather than being late)

Hello, and thank you for all the beauty you bring to this world. The phrase 'to forgive someone' is often seen as giving something valuable to someone who has hurt or harmed you in some way, and does not seem to deserve it.

 
There is a far better way to consider it.

Forgiveness is about releasing the pain and anger within ourselves which was triggered by their words or actions. It's not 'it's ok that you did that to me'. It was wrong and will always have been wrong.

 
You are forgiving yourself for carrying destructive pain and anger within you.
You are forgiving yourself for carrying a feeling of righteous power over those who wronged you.
You are forgiving yourself for playing a victim role when you are actually a beautiful child of God.

May we sit Sunday evening for the spiritual clarity which comes of forgiveness. May we see hurtful people as being lost. May we be loving of ourselves enough to love others in turn.

Hello, and welcome once again to my hopefully genial jabberings. It has been suggested that all transitions have three general stages: the long goodbye; the messy middle; and the new beginning. We're clearly in the 'long goodbye' section of this spiritual transition as we watch those who cling to external power grasp ever more desperately to keep it.

 
There is a time for every season under heaven, and we're in this one. Therefore courage, tolerance, and resilience are essential elements of our love.

May we continue our journey from karmic law to the law of Grace; internally for ourselves, and externally for others. May our energies be put this evening to God's will, and our abilities to fulfill it.

Hello to all once again. A two year old child has no concept of there being consequences for its actions. It responds to its own impulses in innocence. Humanity at large is no longer in the innocent stage. We know we're burning Mother Earth's skin with our chemical pollutants, our electronics, and our attitudes.

 
April 22nd, celebrated as Earth Day, is approaching. Let's do something for our physical and spiritual Mother, who gives us our bodies, our sustenance, and our opportunities to love.

May we sit this evening in loving embrace of The Big Blue Marble, our Mother Earth, the only home our bodies know.

Hello, wonderful people. J. Krishnamurti tells us that repeating a mantra to quiet the mind doesn't really work. The repetition of a mantra, as beautiful as it may be, is more a matter of not letting the mind get a word in. So a part of your mind is quiet while another part is forcing that quietness.

 
Two things; it's not a truly quiet mind because part of it is working and; it removes the self-awareness of seeing how our mind works. A truly quiet mind watches the chatter without engaging in it, as if watching from afar and without judgement.

May we try once again this evening to attain a quiet mind which simply observes. We don't recall the difficulties of learning to walk and talk as children, we simply kept trying naturally. Let's use that same innocent beauty tonight.

Hello all, we may be asked to do hard things as this spiritual transition progresses. Think of the effort involved in personal transitions, relationships ending, working to control weight gain, overcoming addictions, all of which have very difficult moments. Now expand that to an entire planet changing its orientation from material to spiritual.

It's big, and we all have a part to play in it. No matter how large or small your part may appear to you, it's still essential in completing the whole.

May we sit this evening pondering Tom Sawyer's essential guidance – "keep breathing and be willing."

Hello to all in this ongoing transition. We're watching forces and sources work to maintain their positions of external power; financial, political, and military. We also see those who are responding from their hearts; reaching out to those in need, helping neighbors, supporting each other.

It's a desperate balance at the moment.

Let us sit this Sunday evening giving energy to those who respond from their hearts, who are hopefully 'looking upward' for guidance. May we cushion the difficulties, enhance the beautiful, and always be willing.

Hello, loving lights. We are told that true meditation is not musing nor daydreaming but, as your body is made up of the physical, mental, and the spiritual, it is the attuning of the mental body and the physical body to its spiritual source.

As millions of practitioners can tell you, it doesn't come easily.

However, shall we try again? Any one or two second flash of pure quietness, in between all the chattering, just like any honest effort, is righteous and worthwhile.

Hello, and grateful greetings to all. In this life it's easy to follow rules which define virtue and humility for us. But true virtue and humility is not learned, not something to be practiced. But rather, in seeing vanity, pride, greed, and all the rest of that nonsense create disorder for us, in the observing of that disorder we come to choose different directions which, when viewed in total, are called virtue and humility.

We learn who we are as we go.

May we sit this evening being lovingly aware of our disorder. May we see ourselves clearly, and choose new paths.

Hello to all once more. Fervent prayer comes from a disciplined mind, one which can focus upon a single thing, person, event, or situation, without distraction. It can take years to develop the focused discipline required to set 'monkey mind' aside. Yet it can also arise out of intense, immediate need.

It is possible to increase our sense of immediacy by examining the fullness of a situation when we find something deserving of fervent prayer. Looking into who benefits right now, how that ripples into the future, and all those who will benefit then, can make it extremely important thereby focusing our attention. This expansion of awareness benefits us as well.

May we sit this evening for the greater good of setting our own houses in order. May we employ self-honesty like a scalpel, cutting to the core of our impulses. May we 'know ourselves' clearly, each and every whim of thought and desire as they occur. May we brighten the world from the inside to the out.

Welcome and a warm hello to all. As has been noted, it's easy to be a holy man on top of a mountain where temptations are few. Given that most of us don't have that opportunity, perhaps we're meant to do the difficult work of being holy right where we are, in spite of the chaos and stumbling blocks of modern society.

 
It helps to know ourselves. This is not just self-knowledge. It is watching each and every movement of our thought process then, knowing where each one leads us, we choose which to follow and which to discard. In that, it's our honesty which matters.

May we make the effort to be good neighbors and helpers to all we encounter, trusting that honest efforts are righteous, and that we will learn to do better as we go along.

Hello again, helpful people. Much is made of intentions and the setting of them. But history is full of politicians and shysters who've set very clear intentions which were entirely self-serving, rather than spiritual. So it's not just the setting of intentions but being clear about what our true intentions are.

When there is no hate, when there is no fear, when there is no ambition, when there is no self-concern, then there is love – which is integration with the Divine.

May we sit for our personal clarity this Sunday evening. May humanity gain the enhancement commensurate with our efforts.

Hello again, spiritual seakers. Out of all the various teachers and methods, what is the actual basis of meditation? Clearly it's not careless daydreaming. Musing upon a single subject can be useful. But, since we recognize ourselves as being made up of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual so perhaps, as Cayce says, it's to attune the physical and the mental to the spiritual.

It's not always easy to do.

Let's try again. May we take another attempt at going beyond our psychological limitations. May we settle in, put the world aside for a bit, and see where we go.

Hello, hopeful people. In the chapter on Earth Changes in 'What Tom Sawyer Learned from Dying', Tom mentions humanity being so far off course that spirituality has a 'gun' loaded, cocked, and aimed at the Earth. He says it could come as anything from diseases, to volcanoes, to storms and droughts, to flaming rocks falling from the sky. He cautions that if you see anything of the sort happening you should simply be aware that global changes have to occur for life to continue on Mother Earth. As catastrophic as these may be, they are not chastisements. They would be a loving purification, done in a natural way, as ordered by God.

 
In such a case, our job would be to enhance and/or cushion those effects.

Right now, as political leaders grasp ever more tightly to the external power of finances, military force, and political leverage, our job remains the same. It is not for us to get caught up in anguish and fears. We are to be guides toward a heart-felt awakening, in whatever manner falls to us.

 
May we sit this Sunday with the understanding that we may be called upon to do difficult things, and do them with grace. Whatever happens has its importance. But how we handle what happens is where we'll show our spiritual growth.
